I expect CCP to send the ret**ds complaining about the new jump effect to f**k off.
Thank you.
You must apply for a CCP Dev Jobs. Your PR attitude will be perfect for the role. |

CCP Sisyphus wrote:We ARE looking at this and considering what we can do. The back end system used by the client has changed which makes a "turn off" not a real proposition. We are looking at ways to reduce the nausea reaction some players are experiencing through other means.
My question is : why do you want feedback con test Server? More than a dozen posts asked for a option to disable the jump and you, simply, ignored them and put it in production without any change.
What is your proposal to solve this problem? Do u have any? |

CCP Sisyphus wrote: Yes the jump tunnel is sub-par, so we are working on improving it.
If a feature was considered, by his own designer/developer, subpar, why in the hell you put it online on Tranquillity? I understand that it's your game and every decision is up to you, but actions like that simply demote your (our) game and give the idea to a lot of people that you didn't learn anything from the incarna situation, public relation and gaming comunity consideration. |

Ace Uoweme wrote:Still in the garage stage of development. Gamers making games. Terrific, but they don't know how to manage the game itself at the higher level.
+1, They manage patch and update like a garage software house. If they like a feature, they put it on production. They really didn't learn anything from Incarna |

Siresa Talesi wrote:The EVE launcher currently has a link in the lower left corner for an Odyssey player feedback survey. I suggest that everyone dissatisfied with the jumpgate animation (or any other new feature) take the time to fill it out.
The survey is actually very thourough in covering all aspects of the expansion, and it is very easy to indicate which details you like and dislike.
Nice, i didn't see it. |

Sister Sophia wrote:Fodiam wrote:Yep, you not alone ... Here's a link to the Tranquility Server population statistics. Since the Odyssey update, there has been a noticeable downward trend in the weekly spikes that represent the maximum number of players logged on simultaneously. This is best visible on the 'Past Year' graph. Our forum discussion offers anecdotal evidence of a problem and relies on a skewed sample set. I think the statistical evidence is pretty clear though. Anyway, peace. I'm off to the park with a beer and a book.
Interesting data Did CCP confirm the numbers on that site? |

Meytal wrote:It would be interesting to see the statistics of what percentage of clients are not in the foreground when running the warp gate animation (meaning they are either minimized or have some other window opened to hide the animation). That would be the most telling, I think.
You can't have the exact number of something so specific.

Huang Mo wrote:Plastic Psycho wrote:ILoad star map before jumping. Problem solved. Thats what I do. In fact: I do map-flying all the time now as it is easier than turning it on and off for every jump. As a bonus I also get rid of the scan animation that way. Considering that CCPs stated goal with the jump animation was to increase immersion in the game, they kinda missed the target.
Really?
The only reason that i can think about insert a turn off option is that CCP, and the amazingdeveloper, knows that more than 90% of ppl turn it off. |

It`s also worth noting that CCP knew about this in beta and pushed it through anyways. Thats awesome customer service.
This is the worst part of this feature. They know about it and simply decide to ignore the customer that will quit the game |

Siresa Talesi wrote:Two months after this thing was launched and still no solution in sight. Well, I've got less than two weeks left on my subscription; after that I'm out. As much as I love this game, there's no point continuing to pay for something that I don't get full use of and which causes me physical pain.
But until then, I will still be here making as much noise as I can!
And until then u will have some backup by some other users
